At Vision4Media, we have long believed that there is a huge, under-served audience that craves entertainment that goes beyond simple explosions and special effects. They hunger for films that they can discuss and share with their friends. Consciously or unconsciously, they seek out stories that challenge them. They appreciate entertainment that helps them see the world in a whole new way.

A Conscious Filmmaker is an artist with the aware intent to create media imbued with an enlightened purpose. In other words, the Conscious Filmmaker creates entertainment that has the potential to enrich and evolve society and the world. An enriched and evolved society is one in which loving kindness and compassion are the norm. It is one that is inclusive. It is one that is kind, respectful and tolerant of all people.

This does not mean that we are against stunts or special effects. On the contrary, we believe in using whatever tools serve the story. But the tools should serve the story, not the other way around. And even the simplest story can serve a great purpose than just 90 minutes of mindless entertainment.

The Conscious Filmmaker ethos is ultimately about creating a media catalyst for positive transformational change in society; both locally and globally. By addressing this very real human desire to grow and evolve, we believe that we are creating entertainment that has as much, if not more, commercial potential than films with big budgets, but little soul.
